Japan Up Close: 15 Lessons on Society and Culture in Japanese

Japan Up Close es un libro con diferentes lecturas de nivel intermedio y avanzado sobre Japón, su cultura, su gastronomía y su sociedad. Se divide en 15 unidades con textos sobre diferentes temas que se acompañan de imágenes a color. 

Cada una de las unidades del libro incluye varias lecturas sobre un tema específico. Por ejemplo la primera unidad se titula ¿Qué tipo de país es Japón? y sus lecturas se centran en explicar la geografía del país, cuantos habitantes tiene, su orografía etc. 

las lecturas de Japan Up Close son extensas e incluyen palabras de vocabulario y construcciones gramaticales de nivel intermedio/avanzado. Los kanjis de nivel elemental no contienen furigana, pero sí los de nivel más avanzado. Después de cada lectura, se incluye una sección en la que se plantean una serie de preguntas con el objetivo de que el estudiante compare lo que ha leído con su propio país. 

Al final del libro, se incluyen una serie de preguntas de comprensión lectora, un índice con todas las palabras escritas en kanji con su lectura en furigana y las traducciones al inglés de todos los textos del libro. 

Un material adecuado para estudiantes de nivel N3 o superior que quieran practicar la comprensión lectora a la vez que aprenden sobre Japón.
